“This product is covered by the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (D.O.C.G.) and guarantees that it is authentically produced and bottled in its specific historic region of Italy using traditional methods.”
Organoleptic properties: The Fiano di Avellino D.O.C.G. from Antico Borgo is a refined white wine of great elegance, reflecting the purity and complexity of one of Campania’s most traditional grape varieties. Already known in antiquity as “Vitis Apiana”, the Fiano variety has found its ideal habitat in the hills of Irpinia; there the cool climate and the clay and limestone soils enhance its aromatic and mineral qualities.
The wine shows a pale straw yellow, threaded with delicate golden highlights. The bouquet is intense and fine, marked by notes of white flowers, citrus, yellow-fleshed fruit and a nuance of roasted hazelnuts typical of Fiano di Avellino. On the palate it is flattering and full-bodied, with a pleasant sapidity and lively freshness that make it extremely enjoyable and long-lasting. The finish is long and elegant; mineral hints and a light note of almond give the flavour depth and harmony.
